Registrations closing soon for Australia’s first symposium on extending the age of out-of-home care

Join friends and colleagues for this monumental event – the first ever Australian symposium on extending care to 21 years. The Home Stretch Symposium will bring together policy developers, stakeholders and implementers to explore and discuss the challenges and complexities associated with introducing the policy of extending care to 21 years. These discussions will be informed by international and national experts in this policy area. The Symposium will be held Tuesday, 27th to  Wednesday, 28th August at the Intercontinental Sydney. The packed two-day program will cover topics including: what extending care to 21 means for young people and carers, different models being used nationally and internationally, the challenges, enablers and experience of implementation, and policy progress in extending care by governments in Australia.
