QND digital inclusion and accessibility

Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN), along with GIVIT, Volunteering Queensland and QUT, have launched the AAA Digital Inclusion Project, a pilot project to support people with disability to have user-friendly, fit-for-purpose devices, data, knowledge and skills to be able to connect to and be included in the digital world. In particular the project supports: providing access to devices by matching donated devices to those that need them; providing affordability information for cost-effective use of devices long term; building skills and knowledge for independent use focusing on safety during emergency or disaster, online security, social connectedness, and confidence. The project team are able to assist in person, including via workshops run by people with disability for people with disability. The project is currently available to residents of Ipswich, to be rolled out to Brisbane, Gold Coast and Townsville in the coming months. Find out more about how the project can support those with disability, or view the flyer for more details on donating devices.
