National Close the Gap Day on 18th March 2021

This National Close the Gap Day on Thursday, 18th March, all Australians have the opportunity to send our governments a clear message that Australians value health equality as a fundamental right for all. Host an activity in your workplace, home, community or school, to support the day and inform colleagues, friends and others about the goals and meaning of Closing the Gap, and be part of meaningful action in support of achieving health equality for First Nations Peoples by 2032. Be involved by: registering your activity and download online resources to support your event, invite friends, workmates and family to join you, take action by signing the Close the Gap pledge and asking your friends and colleagues to do the same; call, tweet or write to your local Member of Parliament and tell them that you want them to Close the Gap; listen to and share the stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people on Facebook; share your photos and stories on social media. Use the hashtag #ClosetheGap; donate to help Close the Gap.
