On 20 February 2017, PeakCare will be kicking off a new initiative to collect, collate, disseminate and share knowledge already held about ice and promising service responses benefitting young people, parents and families whose lives have been impacted by this substance. Based on the same principles underpinning the operation of run-of-the-mill banks, eNews subscribers are invited to make a ‘deposit’ into the bank and then draw on and profit from the ‘interest’ that’s generated.
Deposits may be made in the form of ‘links’ to journal articles, web-sites and/or other resource materials that you have found informative and useful. A deposit may also be made in the form of a ‘case study’ or a succinct description of a local service response or interagency initiative. If depositing a published article, our request is that you avoid breaching any copyright laws that may apply – usually a ‘link’ to the relevant journal or abstract will suffice. When making your deposit, you are requested to accompany this with a very brief description of what you found useful, and what others may similarly find useful, about the article or resource you have submitted.
The deposits that have been submitted will be collated and then disseminated to all PeakCare Members – that’s how you will be able to draw on and benefit from the generated interest. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! Each week that the Ice Bank is open, those who have made a deposit will be placed in a draw for a BONUS PRIZE – a $50 gift voucher.
The Ice Bank will be open for business from Monday 20th February. Your deposits can be sent via email to ldupree@peakcare.org.au
