PeakCare’s first workshop for 2017 will be held on Wednesday, 15 February 2017. The workshop – Successful multicultural inclusion – How do we do it? – is a one-day, joint event with QCOSS to be held at Riverside Receptions, New Farm. Practitioners, service users and others will talk to the barriers and enablers of culturally inclusive service practices, organisations and service systems that work with children and adults from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. A presentation will focus on effectively engaging and working with language interpreters and specific considerations in a range of service settings (eg. child protection and family support, aged care, early childhood services, domestic and family violence, and services for young people) will be fleshed out in targeted small group discussions. As usual, places will be limited so early registration is advised. Save the date in your diary as registrations will be open soon. Read more.
