Kym Langill
Kym has been Board Chair of PeakCare since February 2023 having commenced as a Board member prior to her appointment to the position of Chair. At that time, Kym was the Executive Director Families & Young People Services at Mercy Community Services 2017 – 2023 leading the Families and Young People Services portfolio in the mission, vision, and values; strategic and operational service delivery; communication and external engagement of stakeholders. Her portfolio included delivery of more than 40 programs and a team of 500 staff spanning the full child & family service system from early intervention through to Foster and Kinship and residential care for young people in the child protection system in QLD.
Kym is currently the Director of Langill Partners Consulting with a focus on supporting the NGO sector in child & family service system design and reform. With over 30 years’ experience spanning all tiers of Government, operational and commissioning experience and across State jurisdictions, Kym brings a wealth of experience in the community services sector. An experienced NSW Public Sector Senior Executive spanning both Human Service and Central agencies including Department of Premier & Cabinet, Family and Community services and Juvenile Justice, Kym has demonstrated expertise in change management and reform implementation.
Kym offers a unique blend of expert communication and engagement, strategic and political experience as a senior Executive, a policy advisor, and a leader in the child & family sector.
