The Health and Community Services Workforce Council has partnered with the Queensland Family and Child Commission to develop a baseline profile of Queenslands child protection and family support workforce in 2016. Organisations delivering services to vulnerable children and families are invited to participate in the online survey Your Workforce, Your Future which will help profile the sector and provide an accurate snapshot of where it currently stands. The survey will be open from 22 February to 24 March 2016.
It is anticipated that participants will gain valuable insight into their own workforce, as well as a bigger picture view of the sector.
It is intended by the Commission and Workforce Council that this business and workforce intelligence will have the power to inform, educate and inspire change. By identifying broad characteristics and trends in the workforce, the baseline profile will help pinpoint local and state priorities for workforce attraction and development, as well as guide future planning and investment.
The survey is an initiative of the Family and Child Commissions Strengthening the Sector draft strategy which has been released for consultation.
