Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ) presents International Women’s Day Breakfast

The 2024 International Women’s Day breakfast, hosted by the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ)’s Women’s Ethnic Network (WEN) will celebrate this year’s theme: Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.

This focus on economic empowerment reinforces what we know to be a key factor impacting women, particularly as those who are not economically empowered are more likely to be vulnerable to coercive control, and financial abuse.

Join hundreds of multicultural women for an illuminating breakfast set to recognise the valuable contribution of women to Queensland, uplift women in our community, and celebrate emerging leaders! We will be announcing the winners of the ECCQ Advancing Women Scholarships: the Cleo Xynias Multicultural Woman of the Year scholarship, and the Emerging Professional scholarship.
