If your organisation has a youth reference or advisory group, this is a great opportunity for their voices to be included in shaping Queensland’s future!
PeakCare is partnering with @healthandwellbeingqld to promote and engage the voice of young people as part of the development of Queensland’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy to focus on what keeps us well and shape an approach to improving mental health and wellbeing in our state
There are a number of ways for your organisation to get involved:
- Contribute to PeakCare’s sector submission by providing feedback before COB Thursday 9 May 2024 (sample questions below)
- Contribute feedback directly through the online Get Involved Survey before midnight on Monday 13 May 2024 at www.getinvolved.qld.gov.au/gi/consultation/12900/view.html
- Participate in one of the consultation opportunities being hosted by Health and Wellbeing Queensland at www.bit.ly/qld-mental-health-strategy-consultations
We want to hear from Queenslanders of all walks of life, and especially young people whose perspective and voice is so important. We want to know what keeps people well and how we can prevent the onset of mental ill health. Your contributions will ensure this Strategy guides evidence-based promotion, prevention and early intervention initiatives that aim to support Queenslanders across their lives.
Sample questions:
- What does ‘happy’ mean to you?
- What does ‘healthy’ mean to you?
- What does ‘wellbeing’ mean to you?
- If you could imagine a perfect day in Queensland where everyone feels happy, healthy, and excited, what would that day look like for you?
- If you could suggest just one thing we could do to help improve how kids feel and think in Queensland, what would it be?
