In 2018, the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) announced the major project ‘Free and Equal: An Australian conversation on human rights’ to identify what Australians consider would make an effective system of human rights protection for 21st century Australia. The AHRC have released an Issues Paper on the human rights context in Australia and posed questions about what the best Australian human rights framework could look like. Written submissions on any of the questions posed in the Issues Paper are invited until Friday, 30th August.
