Watch Mr Graham Fraine’s video from the ‘Just Ice?’ Symposium

Following on from last week’s release of our short video introducing the ‘Just Ice?’ Symposium Video Series, PeakCare is pleased to announce the release of our first video in this series. This video is entitled The Queensland response – Action on ice and features Mr Graham Fraine, Deputy Director-General (Policy), Department of the Premier and Cabinet. All who missed out on attending the ‘Just Ice?’ Symposium that was co-hosted by PeakCare, the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) and Queensland Government on 3 and 4 August, are urged to watch this video. Those who were in attendance may wish to re-visit Mr Fraine’s keynote presentation and bring it to the attention of your workgroups and colleagues. As noted in Mr Fraine’s presentation, you are also encouraged to fully consider the State Government’s Action on Ice draft plan to address use and harms caused by crystal methamphetamine and send any feedback or comments you may have about the plan to combat-ice@premiers.qld.gov.au.

Next week, PeakCare will be releasing our video recording of the presentation delivered by Ms Merrilyn Strohfeldt, Deputy Director-General, Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services –Ice in context: Prevalence of ice in the tertiary child protection system.
