Voices in Action – a game changing conference for out of home care

95% of previous attendees either agreed or strongly agreed that the ideas shared at the event would help improve the out-of-home care system. The2019 Voices in Action Conference by CREATE Foundation in November will explore a range of critical topics including: how to include young voices in decision making processes; how to support and improve outcomes for young people transitioning from care; and the need to improve complaints processes for children and young people. Discounted early-bird registration rates are available before 1st August, so be quick to secure your place at this game-changing conference! Among announced speakers is Caine Wild, founder ofFirst Step Wild, a company empowering children through hands-on outdoor educational programs that focus on positively impacting a child’s development, behaviour and achievement outcomes. Caine grew up himself involved in the child protection system, and credited a visit to Australia in 2009 with CREATE and Freedom Road Creative Arts as the event that changed his life forever. Do you know a young person with a care experience who would like to attend the Conference? Young people can apply for a grant to attend the conference, but be quick, grant applications close in one week on Friday, 31st May!
