Understanding suicide – governmental resource sharing

The Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women’s latest resource sharing contains content from internal training resources on the topic of understanding suicide.  This resource is being shared with the non-government sector via the various peak bodies. Sharing this module in particular aligns with the Department’s commitments under phase one of Every Life, the Queensland Suicide Prevention Plan 2019-2029. The resource covers information including the social context and prevalence of suicide in Australia, working with at-risk populations and assessing risk and protective factors, myth busting, and more.
