Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Taskforce statewide forums

As part of its role to raise community awareness of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, institutional child abuse and its impacts, and the National Redress Scheme, the Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Taskforce will be holding a series of community forums across the state. These forums welcome people with lived experience of institutional child abuse, their supports and service providers to provide feedback to inform the Taskforce’s advice to the Queensland Government. The next forum will be held in Maroochydore on Tuesday, 5th October. This forum is a great opportunity for those attending to hear directly from Mr Bob Atkinson on the Royal Commission, Taskforce members, along with Knowmore Legal Service also in attendance to answer any questions relating to the National Redress Scheme. Redress Support Services will also be available on the day to assist with any inquiries. View the invitation for further details.
