Thumbs Up

Each week, PeakCare publishes a ‘Thumbs Up’ and/or a ‘Thumbs Down’ about matters that have come to our attention and draw either our commendation or condemnation. If there are matters that you think are worthy of one or other of these acknowledgements, email lwegener@peakcare.org.au and we will consider publishing them.

THUMBS UP to Child Safety Minister Di Farmer and Shadow Minister Stephen Bennett for their engagement in bi-partisan dialogue about improvements that may be made to Queensland’s child protection system. We remain fully aware that while there will be some differences in the policy platforms held by each of their political parties, we are encouraged by their preparedness to also look for common ground. PeakCare also commends Minister Farmer and Shadow Minister Bennett for their enthusiastic interest in the findings of the PeakCare-QATSICPP survey about the LNP’s proposals for overhauling Queensland’s child protection system.
