Strong Deadly Spirits Youth Cultural Engagement Program

Kurbingui’s Strong Deadly Spirits Youth Cultural Engagement Program aims to build strong, healthy, deadly spirits, resilience and help-seeking behaviours in Brisbane North side Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. The program will commence on Monday, 13th February for 10 weeks during each school term, two hours every Thursday afternoon, with limited places available. Activities will include designing sensory tools, engaging in yarning circles, building self-esteem and self-confidence, cultural engagement and building safety networks. Kurbingui Youth & Family Development are partnering with Brisbane North Primary Health Network (PHN) in delivering aftercare services under the former National Suicide Prevention Trial, with research to be conducted as part of the program. Find out more and get involved.
