Schedule of eight 2-day Hope and Healing by Design workshops announced

On 16 March, a call was sent out to ALL providers of residential care services across the State for expressions of interest in participating in a ‘Hope and Healing by Design’ workshop. The 2-day workshops will be held in eight locations – Ipswich (5-6 April), Hervey Bay (11-12 April), Cairns (20-21 April), Brisbane North (27-28 April), Townsville (3-4 May), Rockhampton (10-11 May), Beenleigh (18-19) and Sunshine Coast (24-25 May).

These workshops will play an important role in informing the training and professional development strategies that will be created to support implementation of the endorsed Hope and Healing Framework for Queensland residential care services. This includes grant funded residential care, CRC-PaS funded services, therapeutic residential care, Safe Houses and supported independent living services.

Read this hand-out to obtain more information about the workshops. Expressions of Interest may be submitted using this form. Residential care providers are asked to note the closing dates for receiving Expressions of Interest that have been added to this new version of the form.

If you have queries about any of the information contained with the hand-out, please contact Pam Spall by phoning 07 33681050 or emailing pspall@peakcare.org.au.

PeakCare is very much looking forward to the workshops and our engagement with residential care workers from across the State. Listening to and taking account of your experiences is viewed as a critical component of this project. Thank you to all Queensland residential care providers for your cooperation and assistance in ensuring that the ‘Hope and Healing by Design’ workshops achieve their purpose.
