At the eight Hope and Healing by Design workshops held between April and May of this year to inform the development of professional development strategies to support implementation of the Hope and Healingframework, residential care staff gave feedback that ‘purposeful programming’ was a high priority learning need. PeakCare is pleased to announce a one-day ‘Purposeful programming in residential care – From research evidence to practical application’ workshop to be presented by Martha J. Holden. The workshop will be held in three locations – Brisbane (25th September), Townsville (9th October) and Rockhampton (12th October). Residential care providers will soon be sent details about how their staff can register interest in attending a workshop. A small fee of $35 will be charged as a contribution towards meeting catering costs. PeakCare will reserve the right to place a cap on the number of registrations that are accepted from individual organisations, if necessary, to ensure that a wide cross-section of organisations can be represented at each workshop.
