The Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women has announced a series of changes to financial support for carers. The review periods for the High Support Needs Allowance (296) and the Complex Support Needs Allowance (612) have been extended from 6 months to 12 months. Review periods for foster and kinship carers currently receiving CSNA and HSNA will be automatically extended. The review timeframe for long-term guardians and permanent guardians remains unchanged.
