The Scanlon Foundation has released the 2017 Mapping Social Cohesion report which demonstrates strong support for multiculturalism and immigration. It is produced by Monash University researchers and is the largest survey of its kind tracking Australian attitudes on issues including immigration, multiculturalism, discrimination and political trust. Australian attitudes have remained stably positive over the decade from 2007, with agreement that ‘multiculturalism has been good for Australia’ in the range of 83-86%.
