Queensland Child Protection Week Regional and Activity Grants 2017 now open

Applications are now open for funding by the government for Queensland Child Protection Week. Notification of grant outcomes will be issued mid-July 2017. Regional Grants of $5,000 are available for each of the six regional areas of Queensland – Far North Queensland, North Queensland, Central Queensland, North Coast, South East Queensland and South West Queensland. Funding submissions must reflect collaboration with a minimum of five other agencies within the region and must respond to the selection criteria as detailed on the application form. Activity grants of up to $1,000 are available to non-government organisations, community organisations and networks for events designed to positively support the theme and aims of Child Protection Week. The local activity must promote the theme ‘Protecting children is everybody’s business’ and Child Protection Week’s Key Messages, provide people with an opportunity for ongoing involvement in helping  to prevent abuse and neglect, and where possible, link participants to a broad range of information, resources and services already available through government and non-government organisations. Applications close 19 May 2017. To view the form for Activity Grants and apply, click here.
