Public consultations closing soon on new disability legislative reforms

The federal government is engaged with ongoing NDIS reform with proposed legislative changes including: legislating the Participant Service Guarantee; and implementing the recommendations of the 2019 Independent Review of the NDIS Act 2013. The draft legislation is available on the DSS Engage website, with submissions to NDISConsultations@dss.gov.au closing midnight Thursday, 7th October. Both a plain English guide and an Easy Read guide of the legislative changes, a Summary of the NDIS Bill and Changes to the NDIS Rules are available.
