Elizabeth Hansen

As Senior Advisor, Elizabeth is responsible for researching, monitoring and maintaining PeakCare’s knowledge of the legislative, policy, program and practice trends relevant to the child protection and family support sectors. Elizabeth provides specialist advice on issues of importance to the child and family sector through the development of submissions, the delivery of education and awareness raising initiatives and through her engagement with government and non-government agencies.

Elizabeth joined PeakCare in March 2021, bringing more than 5 years’ experience in the Human and Social Services Sector at a State and National level. Her experience includes roles with the National Disability Insurance Agency, and Queensland Government Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs where she supported Queensland’s Government’s participation in the National Redress Scheme and provided program support for complex service reform initiatives.

Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Justice with majors in Policy and Governance, has contributed to a number of volunteering programs aimed at improving the lives and opportunities for disadvantaged Queenslanders, and is currently completing a Master of Social Work (Qualifying).
