The Young Achiever Awards aim to promote the positive achievements of all young people throughout Queensland up to and including 29 years of age in one of eight categories. Category winners will each receive $2,000 from Auswide Bank and a trophy, and the Queensland Young Achiever of the Year will also receive an additional $2,000 from Auswide Bank and a state trophy. Nominations are easy, so if you know someone who deserves to be recognised, nominate now!
Nominations are also open for YWCA Australia’s Young Women’s Council, a unique platform for young women and girls to learn about and contribute to improving gender equality in Australia, while gaining new skills and experiences. YWCA is seeking to recruit 16 passionate young women aged between 12 and 31 years for a term of up to two years. Applicants must be members of YWCA (currently membership is free) and should explain in 250 words or less, or within a 90 second media file, why they would like to be involved in the Young Women’s Council. Applications close 11pm Sunday, 28th October. Apply online.
