October is Sexual Violence Awareness Month in Queensland. Sexual Violence means any sexual behaviour that is unwanted and makes a person feel uncomfortable, frightened or threatened. Sexual Violence an happen to anyone, with most sexual violence being perpetrated by someone the victim knows and trusts for example, a partner, friend, work colleague, family member or acquaintance. Gold Coast Centre Against Sexual Violence will be hosting free speak out sessions every Thursday in October on Facebook Live. Each week these 15 minute sessions, hosted by a range of speakers and specialists, will explore the intersectionality of sexual violence in our community.
