Nominations extended for PeakCare Annual Awards

In a break from tradition, PeakCare has elected to defer our Awards Ceremony and Annual General Meeting until early 2021 – think of it as not only celebrating the end of a very challenging year, but also welcoming in the new year. The good news is that this gives you more time to nominate candidates for one or more of PeakCare’s illustrious awards. You now have until COB Monday, 30th November 2020 to nominate candidates worthy of our adulation and respect.

The Award categories include:

  • The SIC (translation: good, awesome) – to be awarded to an individual, workgroup, organisation, alliance or collective for innovative or exemplary design or delivery of services to Queensland children, young people, parents and/or families.
  • The DEADLY (no translation needed) – to be awarded to an individual, workgroup, organisation, alliance or collective for their recognition and promotion of self-determination by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in relation to the safety and wellbeing of their children, young people and families.
  • The WOKE (translation: highly aware of social issues) – to be awarded to an individual, organisation, alliance or collective for their advocacy and influence in achieving improved outcomes for Queensland children, young people, parents and families.
  • The LEGEND (translation: fabulous, famous for their unique qualities and impact over many years) – to be awarded to an individual for their lifetime contribution to the wellbeing of Queensland children, young people, parents and families.
