The Australian Rural and Remote Mental Health Symposium will be held in Adelaide, Wednesday, 9th to Friday, 11th November. It has been well documented that people living and working in rural areas are less likely than their urban counterparts to seek professional help for psychological distress. If you are a rural support worker, or have experience in community-based activities to break mental health stigma and facilitate help-seeking, the Symposium Committee wants to hear from you. By making help-seeking more relatable, the sector can encourage more community members to reach out and get the support they deserve. Share your insight by applying to present at the 2022 Australian Rural & Remote Mental Health Symposium. Applications close Friday, 15th July.
