The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services (DCCSDS) has released a fact sheet for foster and kinship carers containing information about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The fact sheet contains information relevant to foster and kinship carers, such as benefits of the NDIS for children and young people, access to the NDIS for children in out of home care, and carer payments and allowances. Foster and kinship carers can also sign up to the DCCSDS NDIS online newsletter or find out more about the transition to NDIS in Queensland.
