The first national conference focussed on youth to be held in Australia in over 20 years will take place Monday, 18th to Tuesday, 19th March at Melbourne Town Hall, Victoria. The National Youth Homelessness Conference will look at what has happened in policy and practice to address youth homelessness over the past decade, initiatives that have worked and what future reforms are required in light of developing an agenda to put to government. Despite government initiatives to reduce homelessness, the number of people experiencing homelessness, particularly young people, has increased disproportionately to population growth in the last 10 years.
