Message from the Minister – on funding contracts

Minister Fentiman has released a message on improving funding contracts for community service providers to reduce red tape and improve certainty. Applications processes have been streamlined to facilitate preparation of collaborative tenders, with more organisations being transitioned towards longer term contracts. The government has also pledged to deal with matters administratively or contractually rather than legislatively, to install consistent terms and conditions across whole of government contracts, and to consolidate funding programs and minimise the impost of re-contracting.
