Make renting fair

Rent constitutes the most significant living expense for the majority of Australian households, and when this expense could increase twice in one year, tenants can experience extreme stress or be forced to move. Make Renting Fair in Qld is an alliance of organisations that support progressive reform of renting laws so all Queenslanders can make the place they live in their home. The campaign is asking for personal experience with unfair rent increases, to be emailed to rentingfair@tenantsqld.org.au. Those with opinions on the issue can also send the campaign a 30-second video exploring what most needs to change about renting in Queensland. The video could be shared on social and other public media sites. Find out more about the campaign and access shareable animations about key asks in the campaign here.
