Queensland’s Human Rights Act will commence from 1st January 2020. The Act intends to protect the freedom, equality and dignity of all Queenslanders. Under the Act, public entities that deliver services on behalf of the Queensland government are required to consider human rights as part of their decision-making processes, including direct service delivery, policies affecting the community, and decisions that impact employees, as well as having systems to address any human rights complaints. On behalf of peak bodies in Queensland, Community Legal Centres Queensland (CLCQ) is capturing information to better understand what organisations most need to implement the Human Rights Act. Share your thoughts about what training your organisation requires with CLCQ in this 10-minute survey, closing Friday, 17th January.
