The Productivity Commission has released the draft report Introducing Competition and Informed User Choice into Human Services: Reforms to Human Services for public comment. The recommendations include reform in six key sectors of human services delivery: end-of-life care services; social housing; government-commissioned family and community services; services in remote Indigenous communities; public hospitals; and public dental services. Written submissions in response to the report close Friday, 14th July. Public hearings will also be taking place and can be attended via teleconference.
