What does a Human Rights Bill mean for young people and housing support?

The rights of all Queenslanders are now enshrined in legislation after the Human Rights Bill 2018 was passed in Parliament recently. How does this impact young people in terms of accessing accommodation, housing and support? This will be a key area of discussion at the upcoming PLATFORM 1225 forum on Friday, 5th April presented by the Queensland Youth Housing Coalition with the keynote speaker Aimee McVeigh discussing “When our rights come home – what a Human Rights Act means for Queensland.” If we believe in a socially inclusive and fair society, we need to find ways of ensuring that all are included. Come along to hear the experiences and perspectives of a panel of young people and renowned guest speakers including Aimee McVeigh, Cameron Parsell, Nikki Chenoweth and many more!
