HSQF updates

An updated version of the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) User Guide – Certification V5.0 has been released and uploaded to Queensland’s HSQF website. The HSQF User Guide – Certification V5.0 outlines quality guidelines and evidence requirements for organisations required to achieve HSQF certification. The Version Control Register and Log of Changes provides detailed information about the changes in Version 5.0. All organisations funded by DCSYW and DCDSS (Community Services and Seniors stream only, not DCDSS funded Disability Services) that are in-scope of certification should by now have received an email outlining the updates. Organisations in-scope of HSQF audits/certification must review the HSQF User Guide – Certification V5.0 and implement new/amended requirements relevant to the services you are delivering in order to demonstrate your compliance with the Human Services Quality Standards in future audits (from 26th July 2019). The updates include the Hope and Healing Framework and the Minimum Qualifications Standard. Auditors are being trained in application of these so organisations can expect to provide information about progress in upcoming audits. For questions about the new version, please contact your departmental contract officer or the HSQF team on hsqf@communities.qld.gov.au or 1800 034 022.
