A range of grants are currently open for applications from community groups and non-government organisations. Activity grants of up to $1,000 are available for non-government and community organisations and networks for events that promote the key messages and aims of Child Protection Week (2nd to 8th September). Regional grants of up to $5,000 are also available for not-for-profit organisations in each of the six regions of Queensland that can demonstrate collaboration with a minimum of five other agencies within that region. Small grants of up to $5,000 from the Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors are also available to support events and activities to mark Disability Action Week (9th to 15th September) or International Day of People with Disability (3rd December). Community Sector Banking Social Investment Grants are available for not-for-profit organisations for initiatives to build resilience and capability in people experiencing homelessness or domestic abuse.
