Expansion of entitlement to FDV leave

An extension of family and domestic violence leave under the Fair Work Act 2009 for all employees has been passed by the federal House of Representatives, expected to come into effect from 1st February 2023 for non-small business employers, and from 1 August 2023 for small business employers. The new laws will extend entitlements from 5 days unpaid leave in each 12-month period to 10 days paid leave. Visit Justice Connect for more information and resources.
