Home Stretch Symposium 2023
Third national symposium held over two days, focussing on the implementation of the extended care to 21 years reform across Australia
The Home Stretch campaign presents the Home Stretch Symposium 2023
Young people in state care should have a place they call home and support until the age of 21
Every state and territory in Australia is now on board with #makeit21. While this is fantastic news for young people in out-of-home care, there is still a lot of work to be done. Join us at the third Home Stretch Symposium in Melbourne on 15 and 16 June, where we will hear from speakers from Australia and overseas presenting the latest research and evidence-based best practice in Extended Care to 21 years policy.
Topics covered:
- Update on extended care to 21 policy implementation across Australia
- Experiences and challenges of implementation and service delivery of extended care to 21 years
- Best practice policies in extended care to 21
- Latest national and international evaluations on extended care to 21
With special keynote by Professor Mark Courtney on the longest and largest extended care evaluation and Julian Morrow, Australian comedian, co-founder of The Chaser and creator of The Checkout, who is well-known for putting his satirical spin on news and current events, as the MC for the event.
