WorkUp Queensland and NDS have partnered on the workforce development project, The Domestic and Family Violence Training and Resources for the Disability Workforce, in relation to domestic and family violence experienced by women with disability. To inform project development, the disability service workforce are invited to a series of consultations to share views on what training, skilling and resources are needed to enhance the capability of the disability workforce to contribute to violence prevention; recognise the warning signs that a person may be at risk; respond sensitively and appropriately; and refer people to appropriate supports and services. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations are invited to a special consultation on Tuesday, 27th October, with following learning needs consultations open for individual workers on Wednesday, 28th October and organisations on Thursday, 29th October.
