Dates to save to support communities and protect children

NAPCAN has announced the date for Child Protection Week, to be held 5th to 11th September 2021. This year’s theme is to treat all of Australia’s children fairly, we need to make sure every family and community has what kids need to thrive and be healthy, which highlights the importance of the ‘bigger picture’ in preventing child abuse and neglect. Part of the bigger picture includes social cohesion, with evidence showing that children thrive when communities are connected. This supports not only children but their families, to feel included and safe. Relationships Australia’s national Neighbour Day will be held on Sunday, 28th March.
