Consultation paper released on what works to protect children

The Secretariat for the Steering Committee for the Review of Government Service has released a consultation paper seeking to answer the system level question “What is known about systems that enable the ‘public health approach’ to protecting children?” as part of the Australian Government project Systems for Protecting Children. The central consideration of the project is to identify what system design features are required for a system in which all the parts are working toward the objective of preventing child abuse and neglect a priori, rather than focussing on tertiary responses. Feedback is due Thursday, 21st March. Read the consultation paper and provide feedback here. Register to keep informed about the progress of the project here.
