Community grants available for projects supporting migrants

The Scanlon Foundation’s annual community grants round for 2019 will fund projects that support the transition of migrants into employment or support practical English literacy. Projects should consider the experience of migrants and of receiving communities and aim to nurture positive outcomes. All submissions are also expected to empower new arrival communities and develop cross cultural connections. Expressions of interest can be made by DGR1 eligible organisations for grants of up to $25,000. Projects must be located in a recognised Local Government Areas outside Victoria – in Queensland this includes Brisbane, Inala, Ipswich, Logan, Rockhampton, or Townsville. Applications close Thursday, 12th September. Find out more and apply.
