Children’s Week is almost here

NAPCAN and PeakCare invite you to join in celebrating the rights of children in Queensland. Though this year has posed many challenges, it also offers a great opportunity to acknowledge the strengths of children and young people, and the support provided by families and communities. The Children’s Week National Theme for 2020 is UNCRC Article 15 – Children have the right to meet together and join groups and organisations as long as it does not stop other people from enjoying their rights. In exercising their rights, children have the responsibility to respect the rights, freedom and reputations of others. Get involved in Children’s Week – 24th October to 1st November – in plenty of different ways. Register your school or workplace Children’s Week activities and go in the draw to win a $200 voucher. Attend the free Generation of Change webinar on Thursday, 29th October to hear from teenage Youth Mentors on the Children’s Week Committee about inspiring young Queenslanders who will share how they are making a difference. Register for the National Online Forum to participate in a national online conversation with incoming National Children’s Commissioner, Anne Hollands, on Wednesday, 28th October.
