Bushfire assistance available to non-profits

Not-for profit organisations in bushfire-affected communities can apply for assistance through joint funding from the Commonwealth/State-Disaster Relief Funding Arrangement. Organisations in fire-affected Scenic Rim and Southern Downs communities can apply for up to $100,000 funding under the Disaster Assistance (Not-for-Profit Organisations) Loans and Disaster Assistance (Essential Working Capital) Loans Scheme for Not-for-Profit Organisations. Residents experiencing hardship due to the bushfires can apply for assistance using the Self-recovery app, online at www.communityrecovery.qld.gov.au or by phoning the Community Recovery Hotline on 1800 173 349.
