Applications open for Queensland Youth Engagement Panel

Applications are open for a role on the Queensland Youth Engagement Panel, which provides young Queenslanders with opportunities to influence and inform decisions that impact their lives. The panel will comprise 12 to 14 young people, aged 16 to 25, who reside in Queensland, and membership will be for a two-year term. A key element of the Queensland Youth Strategy is ensuring young people can have their say in shaping relevant government policies, programs and projects. It also sets the vision and priorities for government in improving outcomes for young Queenslanders. To nominate, young people will need to complete the online nomination form, submit a video (maximum of 2 minutes in length – watch an example) telling the Office for Youth about themselves and what contribution they can make to the panel, as well as a key issue for young people that the young person is passionate about, and what they’ve done so far to help address it, attach a resume and provide contact details of 2 referees. Find out more.
