We believe that PeakCare is ideally positioned to provide quality mentoring and professional supervision to our future sector professionals.

PeakCare maintains relationships with all local universities and hosts between one and three students each practicum term.

We aim to give the most up-to-date, relevant practicum opportunities for students interested in the child protection and community welfare sector.

We value the education, professional and life experiences that each of our students brings to the table, and look for ways for them to contribute their expertise to our organisation.

PeakCare recognises students as an integral part of our team and ensures that our physical space accommodates their working needs whilst on placement.

A practicum with PeakCare gives students:
  • Excellent overviews of community and government organisations who deliver services to vulnerable children and their families.
  • Opportunity to work with a small team of dedicated staff members who prioritise social justice, equity and professional ethics in all their work.
  • Superb opportunity to understand systemic processes from an international, national, state and regional perspective - learn how the system impacts on your work!
  • Excellent opportunities to network and build relationships in the child protection and community services sector
  • A diverse and ever changing array of projects which students can elect to participate in.
