This event will draw on two handouts available on the day: a Lexicon of 80 Skills and Interventions and Knowledge, Skills and Values Practice Framework. These handouts will be used to explore the relationship between theory and practice in social work, and the importance of relationship-based practice and the concept ‘use-of-sense’ – a term which describes how we ‘come across’ as people and professionals and the default facial and body positions we adopt. A central feature of this event will involve sharing our experiences and exploring these themes and ideas in an atmosphere that is enjoyable, supportive, energising and fun.
