Mr Steve Herd, Partner, MurphySchmidt Solicitors will be chairing an event with guest speakers Prof Ben Mathews, School of Law, Queensland University of Technology and Mr Warren Strange, CEO, Knowmore Legal Service.

Prof Matthews has published 14 government reports, 65 refereed scholarly articles and book chapters, and over 20 law reform submissions on issues concerning children and the law, with a focus on multidisciplinary research at the interface of child maltreatment and law.

Warren Strange is a lawyer with expertise in public legal assistance, criminal law, public inquiries’ powers and procedures, and prevention services. Warren was an Assistant Commissioner at the Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC), where he led the Misconduct team.
