Culturally Sensitive Practice – across cultures in child protection – what does that mean?

Jatinder is the director of JK Diversity Consultants, which specialises in working with migrant and refugee communities. She is Social worker and has over 13 years of experience in working frontline child protection, policy, research and clinical counselling. She is member of AASW and on the Qld BMC. Over the past 12 months she has been employed as Clinical Counsellor with Royal Flying Doctor Service and serviced the remote Aboriginal community of 'Kowanyama' in the Cape York in Queensland. She is passionate about promoting culturally sensitive practice and has published number of research papers and developed practice guides for the child welfare sector.
